An E‐plane horn antenna fed with E‐plane Tee junction conceptualized by SIW technology

A novel E-plane horn antenna fed with Tee junction, conceptualized using the substrateintegrated waveguide (SIW) technology is introduced and investigated. Conventional SIW-inspired designs are mostly limited to H-plane sectoral horns, portraying confined radiation along while unconfined, fan-beam-shaped principal E-plane. Such characteristics restrict its usage requiring an electric field parallel structure ultimately narrow of embodiment. The proposed design provides a glue-less solution designing by both SIW technology, having relative ease fabrication on dual copper clad Printed Circuit Boards. operates from 17.15 18.8 GHz (~9.2% operating bandwidth) realized gain greater than 10.5 dBi, making it suitable for applications light-weighted high-gain antennas.
